It’s true! Peter was Student Government President last year and Vice Chair 07-08. He is also the longest serving elected member and has the spikiest hair, unlike somebody.

About the USS Secretary
After an exciting last year as USS President, Peter is now is 1/3 of the leadership, which is now shared between Peter, Christopher Walsh and Dan Schulman. Peter serves concurrently as Secretary where he manages the USS website and keeps USS’s official records. Peter has served on a number of University committees including the Diversity Committee (where he has worked to establish a LGBT center), the Special Trustee Subcommittee (which worked on student trustee members and socially responsible investing), and on the committee that chose interim Provost Tim Marshall.
About Peter
A leader in the gay youth movement, Peter was the founder and longtime editor of XY Magazine, the world’s largest gay youth magazine. He is an avid print photographer, has been a reporter for The Chronicle of Higher Education, European Editor for The Advocate, and a Washington Correspondent covering Trent Lott. Peter has a ba in architectural history from Vassar College and a previous masters in Journalism from Northwestern University. Peter lived in London for 10 years, Hollywood for 5, and was born four blocks from the New School, where his grandmother taught in NSGS for over 20 years!
