About Daniela
Daniela Capistrano is a creative nomad who spent the last three years with MTV News, producing multiplatform content and listening to lots of music. She recently left her job to make films and devote more time to her favorite causes: youth activism and media literacy. She’s counting on her networking/hustling skills to secure freelance work while she pursues media moguldom.
Daniela likes film festivals, cheers and beers, graphic novels, fashion photography, the Brooklyn Museum, Chicano studies, her wii and taking naps.

A Note from Daniela
For the purpose of providing career advancement assistance and professional networking opportunities for all students, I want to build a bridge between the working professional/online student population, all of the schools and their students.
These are my goals:
1. Create a networking/mentor program between students. It should consist of regular in person and online mixers where students and alumni can meet and connect, a secured website to sign up and submit internship/mentor opportunities and to create events.
2. Create credit opportunities for students who share their time and resources with other students.
3. Work with existing student services and student government to organize and produce mixer events, recruit volunteers and promote the program with companies.
Please send me your thoughts, suggestions and digital high fives.
