USS Elections are held online each Spring for the following academic year. The USS Elections for 2009-2010 were held online from April 19-26. Each degree student was emailed a secret password, which they can use to vote once.

USS Representatives are elected by Division according to the size of the Division, ranging from 1 each for Drama, Jazz and Mannes, 2 each for Milano and NSSR, 3 each for NSGS and Lang, and 5 for Parsons. There will be 18 Senators next year.

The University Student Senate elections for the 2009-2010 academic year were held from 12:01a.m. on Sunday, April 19, 2009 to 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, 2009. During this period, degree-seeking students in each of the eight schools were able to vote online. Students were advised to check their New School e-mail accounts beginning Friday, April 17, 2009 for instructions on accessing the election voting website. Voting began at 12:01a.m. on Sunday, April 19, 2009 and end at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, 2009. You will receive e-mail reminders regarding the online voting process and a confirmation e-mail once your ballot has been cast.
