2011-12 Election Winners :: NSSR
The following candidates were elected to the USS for the 2011-12 year for NSSR.
Chris Crews

Hello, and thanks for taking the time to make your voice heard here at the New School. I’m a third year PhD student in the Politics Department, and I have served for the past two years on the University Student Senate (USS). During that time I have watched the voice of student leaders rise and fall, adapting to the changing politics and leaders. All the while I have done my best to support students in whatever ways possible I have worked on expanding the role of students in university planning and activities, and supported efforts to bring questions of race, gender, class, critical education and radical pedagogy into campus political practices. I’ll keep doing what I’ve been doing next year if re-elected. However, if there are enough interested new students willing to run, I’m happy to step out and let some new blood take the spotlight.
