USS’s next events are:
(a) Tues 9/8, 630-930p All-Campus Dance (Theresa Lang Student Center) with free pizza & bevs (21+ to drink) — Hey! 350 people came last year!
(b) Wed 9/9, 330-530p Students of Color Welcome Social (66w12, rm 510)
(c) Thurs 9/10, 4-6p Lesbian-Gay-Bi-Trans Social (66w12, rm 510)
University Student Senate plans large all-campus events such as all-campus parties and assemblies. More “specific” events are planned by OSDA (the Office of Student Development and Activities).
In 2008-09, USS threw the glamourous Orientation Party for new students, the Grad Student Mixer, the October Party with Pumpkin Carving, the LGBT Welcome party, the Winter All-student Assembly, the huge Faculty-Student Assembly in Tishman, the mega Winter Party in Theresa Lang Student Center, and the Spring All-Student Assembly and Party in Wollman Hall. We co-sponsored the mega All-Night Election-Night Party in Theresa Lang, Students of Color Welcome Event and Intersexions.
In the Spring 2008 elections, students passed a $5 per semester per student USS Activities Fee for All-Campus Events. Your vote means lots more events, speakers, films and more starting 2009-10. Thanks cool peoples for your vote of confidence in University Student Senate!
